Test Your Faith: Am I A Christian?

There are many who claim to be Christian, but have no desire to know God or see lives changed by Christ.  They fail to exhibit any objective evidence that they are truly Christians.  I'm guilty...That used to be me!

Here's a short clip of a sermon from The Village Church where Matt Chandler elevates progress over perfection.  As Christians, we don't have to have be perfect and 'have it all together.'  We do have to be honest where we're at in life, for our OWN good, because it might impact where we will spend eternity.  Some people attend church EVERY Sunday and are just as far from God as those who reject Christ.

A FORM of Godliness

Growing up in a Christian home or even following a moral code does not make you a Christian. Being a Christian means you have come to the end of yourself and have realized that you need a Savior. God doesn't keep a report card of your failures, waiting to strike you with punishment every time you mess up. Though He does want us to pursue holiness, striving to glorify Him in all that we do.

"But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come: For men will be....lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness but denying it's power." (II Timothy 3:1-5)
